Update:
The new financial year has marked the 10th anniversary for BVMS Chartered Accountants and we're extremely proud of how far our firm has progressed since we started business on 1st July 2014 with a team of 7 and a single office based in Waikerie. Fast forward ten years, and we now have a team of 13 locals, in 4 offices, and now 6 Partners with Belinda Ebert being welcomed as a partner from 1 July 2024. Phew - we’ve certainly been busy!!
Belinda Ebert started working for BVMS in August 2020 following her move back to the Riverland after living interstate for some years. During her time away she completed her Bachelor of Accounting and gained a number of years experience working in other accounting firms. During her tenure with BVMS, she has undertaken and completed a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting and we’re really proud that we’ve been able to support her through this process and welcome her as another Partner to the firm. Our future within this region looks bright as we have other team members currently undertaking graduate and post graduate education while working for BVMS Chartered Accountants – so watch this space for more developments.
During 2023 we experienced an expansion of our client base in the Barossa area, and as such are please to announce that we now have a new office which will be located at 17 Second Street, Nuriootpa. We’re currently doing some minor work to the premises, but it’s, literally, across the road from where we have been working from (16 Second Street) and we hope to be fully transitioned into the new premises by the end of September 2024.
With a very dry start to 2024, recent rainfall across the Riverland has seen crops emerge for dryland farmers, but follow up rain will be critical. Recent inroads to resolving the export tariff issue with China is positive news for grape growers and the upcoming 2025 vintage. Tax cuts from 1 July in the Federal Budget have been delivered and will hopefully assist families with cost of living pressures and provide a welcome boost to take home wages. BVMS Chartered Accountants feel optimistic and excited about the changes that have occurred within our business and the changes that are occurring in our local region - as small changes eventually add up to positive results!! We’re very excited to see what develops in our local regions over the coming months.
The new financial year heralds the start of a new tax season, and individual lodgements for 23/24 are underway, and tax refunds are already being issued by the ATO. Take the opportunity today to contact us to discuss your personal or business needs. Our friendly team of locals will be happy to assist you to better understand your situation or provide advice to enable you to make better business decisions. As Chartered and Certified Accountants, Ben, Markos, Paul Tim and Belinda are experienced and highly knowledgeable in all aspects of Taxation, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Management Consultancy, Self Managed Super Funds, Audit, and Bookkeeping Services.
So, whatever stage your business is at, or if your personal circumstances need attention, come in and discuss your needs with one of the highly skilled team at BVMS Chartered Accountants - we'd love to see you!
